PROCEDURAL WORLD / EXPERIMENT / PROBABLY FINE
Today, KOGNABO means:
Keep On Generating New Areas Beyond Origin.
The acronym is deterministic-ish. The explanation is not.
WHAT IS THIS?
KOGNABO is an experiment in building a world from systems instead of starting with a hand-authored map. Terrain, settlements, routes, weather, creatures, sound, music, and other pieces are intended to emerge from deterministic generation.
The same underlying world can eventually be experienced through different views: text, maps, simplified graphics, or a full 3D environment. The presentation can change without replacing the world.
Seeds create terrain, biomes, settlements, routes, points of interest, and increasingly questionable places to wander into.
Time, seasons, weather, creatures, ambience, and music respond to the world rather than existing as disconnected decorations.
One simulation can support maps, text, 2D, pseudo-3D, and Three.js views without making the renderer the source of truth.
Procedural generation, tests, plugins, vibe coding, AI assistance, occasional slop, and an alarming faith in reproducible seeds.
